Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park Or Tarangire National Park

On this day, you can choose to go to Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park. Depending on the time of year, each of these parks offers different safari experiences. Your guide can advise you as to which is best to visit during your safari.
If Tarangire National Park, you’ll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the approximately two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass bustling Maasai villages and the vast, open plains that have become synonymous with images of Africa.
If Lake Manyara National Park, you’ll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes approximately two hours, but we’ll pass through the market town of Mto wa Mbu along the way. This agricultural and fresh produce market is a melting pot of local cultures and a souvenir hunter’s paradise.

Day 2: Tarangire/Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll kick off the day early in anticipation of an exciting exploration.

Our journey will begin with a picturesque drive towards the Serengeti. En route, we’ll traverse the misty rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards concealed within the dense undergrowth.

Following a delectable lunch at the Serengeti National Park picnic area, it’s time to immerse ourselves in the heart of the Serengeti. Prepare to be captivated by the iconic African savannah landscape and the sheer multitude of animals that freely roam these vast grassy plains.

As the day comes to a close, you’ll enjoy a delightful dinner and spend the night in the heart of the Serengeti National Park, with your accommodation chosen according to your preferred standard and type.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

You’ll rise before dawn to embark on a sunrise game drive, taking full advantage of the soft morning light as it bathes the savannah in a golden hue. This early hour offers a prime opportunity to witness the predators in action, capitalizing on the low light and cooler temperatures to hunt for their morning meal. It’s the perfect time to observe the majestic lions, elusive leopards, and swift cheetahs in their hunting element, as well as to witness the initial movements of the wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores.

Alternatively, you might opt for an extraordinary experience by taking to the skies with a sunrise hot air balloon safari, followed by a champagne breakfast. Feel free to discuss the possibility of adding this once-in-a-lifetime adventure to your safari with your safari expert.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, we’ll embark on our journey back to Ngorongoro Crater National Park. Our route will take us through the Serengeti, but this time, we’ll follow a different path, increasing our chances of spotting the elusive animals that may have evaded us on the second day of our safari. As far as the eye can see, you’ll witness an abundance of wildlife in herds: wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and elegant giraffes, agile antelopes and gazelles, the majestic African elephants, and the highly regarded group of animals: the predators.

During this drive, keep your eyes peeled for sightings of sleek cheetahs, elusive leopards, scavenging hyenas, and, most importantly, the king of the savannah, the lion.

For the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night either on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or in the nearby town of Karatu. The specific accommodation will be selected based on your chosen standard and preferences from the options available.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater- Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll head to Ngorongoro Crater, often regarded as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Upon your first glimpse of this immense, green caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll quickly grasp why it has garnered such a prestigious reputation.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to over 120 mammal species, including the renowned Big Five, making it one of the world’s most coveted safari destinations. It’s an excellent place to witness the endangered black rhinoceros peacefully grazing on the grassy plains and observe numerous hippos enjoying the refreshing waters.
